To rescue, rehabilitate and give sanctuary to abused animals. Through the interaction with our animals people learn reverence for all life.
Worthy was born with an angular limb deformity in her legs. It was supposed to have been corrected soon after birth, but instead she was left to hobble along, with no food and abusive handling for a year. A veterinarian in South Carolina recommended she be put down, but instead we found an equine hospital in Kentucky who specializes in this surgery in yearlings and they were willing to give her a chance.
On May 7th Worthy underwent surgery on her leg with many risks, and made it! In a few weeks Worthy will get her cast removed and, after rehabilitation, be able to run, pain free, with a straight leg, for the first time in her life! Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital is donating 50% of the hospital bill, but we still have to raise the other half for boarding, transportation and rehabilitation… We need your help!
Please help us give her the life she deserves by donating here. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us save her!
