It's HOT out—and it's only going to get hotter due to the climate crisis. We are experiencing blistering temperatures in all three Gentle Barn locations. The Gentle Barn is calling for an emergency plan of action as the heat puts all of our beloved animals, especially our elderly animals, at a very high risk.
This is our largest fundraiser in years, as expenses have piled on due to climate-based issues such as devastating fire seasons, unsustainable hot summer temperatures, and extreme cold and flooding in the winters.
Fortunately, we do have some solutions to combat the effects of climate change, but we must raise these funds immediately to protect our animals from blazing summers and icy winters.
The Gentle Barn wouldn’t be where it is without the generous donations that keep the serenity and safety of the barn alive.
Our list is long, but is sure to keep all our 200+ rescued animals alive and happy across all three locations:
The Gentle Barn was founded 23 years ago, which means we care for many senior animals who are extra sensitive to these extreme temperatures– with no relief in sight.
Costs are high for these improvements and availability is low, meaning if we don't move quickly, our animals will suffer the consequences.
Our ask is hefty, but necessary. We wouldn’t be where we are without the generous support and donations from our followers and friends. We're only able to help animals like this because of you ❤
