Dudley has gone through many triumphs, and ups-and-downs since his bone spur removal surgery several months ago. Recent we took him to the University of Tennessee large animal hospital to get his hooves trimmed. While he was there we took X-rays to make sure there were not any new bone spurs or complications and were relieved to find that the interior of his limb looks perfect. Dudley is now back in his prosthesis, continuing the healing process, and doing very well. The ups-and- downs are certainly frustrating to us, but according to Ronnie Graves who made Dudley’s prosthesis, who is an amputee himself, this is just life with a prosthesis and totally normal. Dudley never complains, always has a smile on his face, and is grateful to be alive each day! If you haven’t visited him in Tennessee, I highly recommend that you do. A hug from Dudley will change your life!
Please consider sponsoring Dudley. Your sponsorship helps us give him vet care, treats and organic hay, and creates new prosthesis for him as he grows. Thanks for loving Dudley with us and for being a part of our gentle family!
