Inside Scoop: Brian in California

I knew as a child that I loved animals, but was never consciously aware that I was selfishly choosing which ones to love. I ended up adopting a meat free diet two years ago and on my first visit to Gentle Barn, I learned an important life lesson. The lesson being that ALL animals deserve the chance to love, be loved and live free from fear. As a volunteer in the cow barn, I am afforded the opportunity to let people look into those beautiful and soul filled cow eyes, while gently encouraging them to change the habit of looking at animals as food. Volunteer work is never actually work at all. It is however; a true pleasure and a treasure to be allowed to be part of such a loving Gentle Barn family. The family of animals and humans alike.
