After being taken away from his mom and brought to the animal shelter at a day old, after a month of quarantine, several trips to the veterinary hospital, and countless hours in the care of our staff and volunteers, Sun Dance is finally ready to play in the big boy barnyard! This week, Sun Dance came to our main location and is doing so well.
Introducing goats is difficult sometimes because it is a herd animal’s instinct to reject newcomers. To prepare for this, we brought our maternal nurturing goat, Ginger, to the Sun Chlorella Healing Center to bond with Sun Dance for a few weeks before he came to our main location. Ginger and Sun Dance became fast friends. Because Ginger brought Sun Dance in and introduced him, the transition went very well. Everyone was very gentle and welcoming to him.
Sun Dance loves to explore and jump up and down on the logs in the barnyard and he loves to run as fast as he can around and around the barnyard testing how fast his legs can go. Because Sun Dance was raised with round-the-clock care, he loves playing and cuddling with people. Come out and see him when you can. You will fall in love!
