At The Gentle Barn, spring brings exciting things growing in our vegetable garden, new leaves on the trees, butterflies and bees, pigs in the mud, and lots of field trips! Children of all ages, from Orange County, to Santa Barbara and everywhere in between, are coming out to enjoy The Gentle Barn and our rescued animals. They are hugging cows, giving pigs tummy rubs, cuddling turkeys, feeding horses, learning what they eat, where they sleep and how they play, and most of all they are learning to Be Gentle! If you have a little one, or even a big one at school, suggest to the teacher that they come out to The Gentle Barn for a field trip.
