Dolly Made A Friend

Dolly was raised for 15 years with little interaction from humans and no association with other cows. When she first came home to The Gentle Barn she ate, slept and hung out generally by herself. Slowly over the last few weeks she has been getting closer and closer to the other cows and even sunbathed with the others. But the other day Dolly was licking and grooming our other cow, Aretha! I was so excited for her and proud of her! She not only conquered her fear, but she got vulnerable and generous and really bonded and gave love to another. With time everything heals!
