Violet the sheep, living in sanctuary at The Gentle Barn California

Violet was saved from a backyard butcher where she was starving and had an eye infection, parasites, and a high fever. On top of all that she had a virus that caused open sores on her mouth that were contagious to animals and humans. Violet had to be in extreme quarantine for several weeks until she finally healed and was allowed to interact with other animals. She is still scared of us, but will take treats from our hands. We will continue working for the day that we can hug her and give her the affection she deserves.
