Vegan was born blind, on a beef ranch. Ironically, his blindness is what saved him. The farmer's wife fell in love with him and wouldn't let the farmer slaughter him. Vegan teaches at risk kids that sometimes when bad things happen, there is a power and a saving grace that comes out of it.
