Terrific spent the first six months of her life inside a cosmetics testing facility. Confined to a cage and deprived of affection and nurturing interaction, she endured a world no baby should ever experience.
When the testing ended, Terrific was released and brought to The Gentle Barn. Here, we watched her transform from a frightened and traumatized baby into a joyful and loved animal ambassador.
Watching Terrific discover the world was extraordinary. Her eyes widened with wonder as she saw the sky, trees, clouds, flowers, birds, and other animals for the first time. Everything was new, fascinating, and exciting.
Today, Terrific explores with her barnyard friends, naps in the sunshine, rests in the shade, and climbs to the top of her rock structure to enjoy the view. On Sundays, she delights visitors with her bows and bandanas and loves attention, especially scratches along her neck and back.
