Stellar was born at The Gentle Barn California location. We have a strict no-breeding policy so that when we have room for an animal we can rescue one instead of make one. No one realized that Brave was sitting on an egg until it was too late to remove the egg, and a few weeks later, out came Stellar. We have never had a baby turkey and Stellar is a delightful, magical, opportunity to meet a baby turkey, watch the relationship between mom and baby, and witness his blossoming into adulthood. Stellar is curious, full of life, and remarkably intelligent. Like all babies, he copies what his mommy does, sleeps a lot, eats a lot, and makes everyone around him smile. Stellar will spend the rest of his life showing the world that turkeys are meant to be cuddled and adored, not eaten!
