Sky belonged to someone who, for medical reasons, could not provide for his energy or activity level. We would normally find an adoptive home for a dog like this, but we quickly discovered that Sky is an extraordinary healer and therapy dog. He calms people who are nervous, softens people dealing with anger issues, and makes people laugh who are overcoming trauma. So we’ve decided to keep Sky as part of The Gentle Barn family to help us host groups of children from the inner city, who are at risk, and who have special needs. Sky is still a puppy but already an invaluable member of our team working with us to create more love, joy, and happiness in the hearts of our community.
