Rosie the donkey, living in sanctuary at The Gentle Barn California
Rosie was found in a dumpster at only a few weeks old. She was brought to a donkey rescue where she was adopted by Hope who had a daughter around the same age as Rosie. Hope raised Rosie as her own and Rosie and adopted sister, Lulu have always been very close. When the donkey rescue closed down we were asked to take all three so they could stay together as a family. Rosie was not handled all that much as a baby and not taught boundaries. When she came to The Gentle Barn she would bite and kick, but with time, discipline, and lots of love Rosie grew into a very sweet, good girl. She delights us all with her huge smile, her hilarious antics, and her funny faces for more treats.
