Read Reina's Story ^{(In Memoriam)}

Reina was rescued along with sixty other animals from a horrendous cruelty case. She had seen her friends and family members slaughtered right in front of her, and she lived in terror every day of it happening to her. When the animals were confiscated and brought to The Gentle Barn CA, they were sick and scared. It took Reina five years to recover emotionally and finally trust people. But she did forgive, surrender, let go, and become the queen of our barnyard. At the age of fifteen, Reina passed away peacefully at home with our praise, and assurances that we would take excellent care of the other animals and keep them safe for the rest of their lives. We know that Reina received a standing ovation from the angels as she went home.
