We took in a mommy pig and her young son from a family who could not afford to care for them properly. We found out later that the mom also had three daughters, and we were able to bring the entire family to The Gentle Barn Missouri location so the family could have the care that they needed and stay forever intact. Peggy Jo has a lot of confidence and is already gobbling watermelon and cookies gently from our hands and following us around asking for more. She absolutely loves sloshing and rolling in the mud, a luxury she did not have before. Peggy Jo wags her tail all day long, naps beside her mom and siblings in a piggy bedtime pile, and is grateful for her new Gentle Barn life.
