Read Patrick's Story (In Memoriam)
Patrick was a trail horse for 30 years, carrying children on his back and taking great care of them. When his back wore down and he could no longer carry people, he was thrown out into a ravine to die. He was found by animal control and because he was old, lame, emaciated and depressed, was scheduled for euthanasia. When we found out about Patrick, we brought him home with us instead. He was in such bad shape that we thought he was coming home to pass away with dignity and love, but he took one look around The Gentle Barn and decided to stay a while. We gave him friends and a family, chiropractic, massage therapy, energy work, Sun Chlorella Algae Super food, and lots of love, and had Patric for several years. He was sweet, kind, gentle, and good and we will miss him for the rest of time!
