Read Milo's Story ^{(In Memoriam)}

Milo was given to a family for a Christmas present, but they didn’t want him. So they put him in the backyard where he lived alone for 9 years. Finally the family moved and didn’t want to bring him so they were bringing him to the pound to be put down when we intervened and brought him home to The Gentle Barn instead. When we brought him home, Milo’s heart was literally broken. We worked with a cardiologist and an acupuncturist to make him comfortable and happy, and gave him daily doses of Sun Chlorella and lots of love. We had 2 wonderful years with Milo where we held him in our arms, we snuggled with him in bed, he played with toys and other dogs, and had the life all dogs deserved. Milo was a tiny dog, but he left a huge hole in our hearts!
