Louise was rescued along with many other animals from severe cruelty. She was sick, injured, and very scared when she came home to us. We worked slowly, diligently, and carefully to show her that she would always have good food, clean water, and gentle hands. unbeknownst to us, Louise was pregnant and gave birth to her daughter, Susie Q shortly after we rescued her. Being able to keep, raise, nurture, and love her baby has enabled her to trust us and know that she will always have a home and family at The Gentle Barn.
