Read Louise's Story ^{(In Memoriam)}

Louise was rescued from slaughter from the hands of a backyard butcher. She came to us terrified and sick. We nursed her back to health and taught her to trust us just in time to give birth to a daughter we didn't know she was carrying. Louise got to put her past behind her, enjoy back scratches, bedtime cookies, a bovine and human family who loved her, and her daughter, Susie Q right by her side for the rest of her life. Louise passed away in her sleep surrounded by her family. We will love her always.
