Light (AKA Pink Lady) was sent to slaughter pregnant and gave birth inside the slaughterhouse. The owner allowed us to have them both and bring them back to The Gentle Barn. Light's son, David had severe pneumonia which, to the human eye, seemed healed. However, the scar tissue in his lungs caused complications during his neuter and he passed away under anesthesia. It was excruciating to lose him, but Light will stay with us for the rest of her life and finally know what love and kindness are in David's memory.
