Read Krishna's Story ^{(In Memoriam)}

Krishna was rescued from Thanksgiving along with her sister, Rama. They were not given food, water, or shelter where they came from and were emaciated and malnourished when we brought them home. It took a while, but with good food, fresh fruits and veggies, and lots of time and patience they recovered, grew strong and healthy, and made our sanctuary their home. They never really trusted people to the point where we could hold or hug them, but they would walk closely near us and stop when we gave them compliments and praise, cocking her head to one side and then the other, careful to take in every word. Krishna loved her life and was healthy and happy to the very end, when she passed away peacefully and easily in her sleep. We will forever miss her quiet grace in our barnyard!
