Ella fell off of a truck and was running around a truck stop in Kansas desperately looking for help. She was scared, malnourished, and scraped up. Luckily Ella found a family who was driving in an RV from Kansas to Ohio and had stopped for a break. They drove for two days to bring her to us.

When Ella arrived she was a tiny baby, too young to be away from her mommy, and only wanted to be loved. We scheduled volunteers to stay with her around the clock for the first thirty days so she was never alone. Ella was then introduced to our other pigs and became a permanent part of our family. Ella will spend her life safe at The Gentle Barn as an ambassador for her mommy, siblings, and all the other piggies who aren't so lucky.
