Coal belonged to one of our staff, and her companion passed away on the same day that our rooster Rosey’s companion passed away. They were both alone and grieving, so we asked if they could be together. Our staff brought her to live at The Gentle Barn to be with Rosey and the two of them hit it off right away. They will never replace each other's spouses, but they sure can keep each other company and fulfill each other with purpose and joy. Rosey finds treats for Coal and protects her, and Coal preens and grooms Rosey for hours. Coal and Rosey teach us that there are always second chances to find love!
