Read Charlie's Story ^{(In Memoriam)}

I wish with all my heart and soul that every cow in the world would have a life like Charlie had. Charlie's life was a fairytale from beginning to end! He was born at The Gentle Barn shortly after we had rescued his pregnant mom. Charlie was always loved, respected, and adored. He ate the best food, drank the cleanest water, was brushed and massaged every day, was with his mom well into old age, and was surrounded by an adoring bovine family when he left peacefully and with dignity. Charlie ate bedtime cookies each evening, had staff who scratched all his itches and had acres to explore and play. One day all cows everywhere will have names and be born and raised into lives of safety and love. Charlie will forever be an example for them all.
