It's unclear what happened to Chance that lead to him going to auction but what we do know is that he was terrified, emaciated, and growing a large tumor on his hind end. Thankfully a family who had gone to the auction to rescue some horses took one look at Chance and his young companion, Remi, and knew they had to help them both. They did as much as they could for Remi and Chance but were not able to sustain their care so they contacted local rescue groups to ensure Remi and Chance would be ok. Chance has clearly had a hard and scary life before coming home to us at The Gentle Barn Missouri but from now on he will only know love, family, and happiness!
