Celeste the horse, living in sanctuary at The Gentle Barn California

Celeste was a wild mustang and was rounded up in 2010 from the plains of Nevada with 170 other horses. Thankfully they all were rescued by Lifesavers Horse Rescue. Celeste was ultimately separated from her mom and had many homes over the course of ten years. Celeste has dwarfism, is blind and deaf on one side, and suffers from anxiety. Because of her special needs, we were asked to take her. Celeste is undergoing rehabilitation and training to trust, learn to walk on a lead, wear a coat, be groomed daily, and bond with our other horses. It might take a while, but we are thrilled to have her and give her whatever she may need for the rest of her life.
