The Gentle Barn Provides Temporary Homes for Animals Affected by the Gas Leak...
The Gentle Barn, a national animal rescue organization located in Santa Clarita, has a large animal transport and evacuation team ready and equipped to respond to Porter Ranch and surrounding area. The Gentle Barn is currently offering their services to Porter Ranch residents affected by the Aliso Canyon gas leak to temporarily house furry and feathered family members of those affected by the ongoing crisis.
The Gentle Barn is a 6-acre facility with kind and caring staff members readily available to assist with your needs. If you are interested in having your pet temporarily sheltered at the Gentle Barn, please contact them by phone at 661.252.2440 or email them at info@gentlebarn.org.

- Emergency Animal Evacuation
- Rescue Transport
- Free limited temporary board, feed, water
- (as overflow to evacuation sites)
- Specializing in domestic, large farmed animals
- Access to network of volunteers with and/or without trailers

In the event of an Emergency Evacuation follow these steps:
- Get to a safe location and assess your immediate needs.
- Contact your local authorities or call 911
- If you need additional animal evacuation assistance please call The Gentle Barn
We will attempt to assist you in getting your animals to safety.
The Gentle Barn Foundation is working in cooperation with local Sheriff, Fire and Animal Control agencies to assist in providing additional evacuation services for farmed animals in the Southern California area as indicated on the map above.
The Gentle Barn is a non-governmental agency.
