Ferdinand the cow, living in sanctuary at The Gentle Barn California
Ferdinand was brought to us as an orphan at eight weeks old. He was scared, sad, and sick. We all took four hour shifts throughout the day and night so he was not alone for the first thirty days, until he trusted people. He spend hours each day in our laps while we read to him, sang to him, and showed him what love was. Once Ferdinand was healthy and done with quarantine, we paired him up with Lucy in the hopes that she would take care of him. Lucy loved Ferdinand so much that her body actually produced milk for him! Lucy has since passed away, but Ferdinand is being taken care of by the other cows and all of us, and he’s living his best life with all of his friends at the Sun Chlorella Healing Center!
