A Happy Birthday

We sang Biscuit happy birthday last week and gave him a special
piggy birthday cake made out of carrots, bananas, apples, molasses and
nuts, made by two of our very special baking volunteers. There were a
lot of visitors in the barnyard and, honestly, I was wondering if he
would appreciate all of us waking him up from his nap to sing to him.
But he loved it! He sat up and smiled and enjoyed his song and then
devoured his cake, sharing of course with his barnyard friends.
Being 1,000 pounds, we are very grateful to have Biscuit this long and
we desperately hope that we can celebrate with him again next year. As
Biscuit happily munched on his cake we all told him how much we love and
appreciate him, one family even made him hand drawn birthday cards,
which made Biscuit feel very special and celebrated.
