Snoopy came to us from a lovely family who wanted to share their lives with some backyard chickens. They were promised all females, but when Snoopy started crowing, they knew they were in trouble with their neighbors and their HOA and asked us to take him. Snoopy is a Japanese Silky, bred originally for royalty to stroke while on the throne for hours at a time. From those royal beginnings, sadly Silkies today are used for human consumption along with any other chicken when they are not pets. Snoopy is however safe with us for the rest of his life and already has our hens impressed, our guests mesmerized, and you are sure to love him!
