Fern stepped right in front of our Founders car one day on a very busy four lane highway. I guess he knew which car to stop because we got him out of the road and to the vet to see why he wasn’t flying. X-rays revealed bullet fragments in both wings and the vet said he would never fly. So Fern now lives at The Gentle Barn California being doted on by volunteers and staff by day, and sleeping safe and sound in the house at night. And hopefully Fern will inspire children to be kind and respectful to pigeons at the park.
