Donny Makower has been a leader in digital marketing and brand development for 20 years. He co-founded RED Interactive Agency, a premier digital agency, which was ultimately sold to WME (William Morris Endeavor). As President of RED, Donny led client services, strategy, operations, new business efforts, and the company’s vision. RED’s client list includes an impressive array of influential global brands, such as Netflix, Samsung, Disney, Under Armour and Audi.
Donny’s expertise centers around building organizations, developing brand strategies, and challenging companies to re-evaluate their customer experience models. He also speaks at various events and conferences about these topics (For example, click to watch his 2017 WORLDZ Keynote).
In August of 2018, Donny decided to align his professional endeavors with his passions around plant-based nutrition and cruelty-free living. To that end, he is now Founder & CEO of RDCL Superfoods (pronounced “Radical”), a new digitally-native, plant-based, functional superfood company, which will launch in 2019. He is also pursuing a path of animal-rights advocacy, spending time volunteering for Anonymous for the Voiceless and speaking publicly about compassion and the ethical side of veganism (in addition to his role as a Gentle Barn board member).
Donny grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. He earned his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Donny is married to Elena and they have 2 kids – all of whom are vegan. He has also earned a black belt in karate and is a magician member of the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood.
