Yoda, an Emu, was rescued from an animal horder in Lancaster, CA in January of 2008.  He was scared and hungry.  When we brought him to The Gentle Barn, we just thought that we would love him from a far, because he wouldn't be touchable.  After Yoda was here for three weeks, he let us pet and love him.

 

Now he is one of the most talked about and visited animals, by the kids that come to our program. It seems that there is something amazing that he has to offer these needy and shut down kids.

 

We love having Yoda in our family.
