Hello,

It's been a while since I last came here, but I am happy to see that there was some good news waiting for me. It's great that these guys from the butcher are recovering well. It's a long road, but they seem to be moving forward, which is nice.

Keep up the good work, guys.

Just want to say i hope he gets better! And, that is the biggest reason i don't take my dog out without a self defense device..excuse me but it would help your dog, the other dog, and everybody's finances..not to mention i assume adorable Socks wasn't on a leash? as it is the law and it does help in an emergency, although if a dog lounges at your dog, pepper spray or something like that will prevent the heartache of seeing an animal hurt NTM prevent his/her suffering..Best wishes for all..i hope this can be prevented if it ever happens again. I live in horse trails area and the few times i see people walking taking their dog along..i either speak to them or i feel sorry for the dog...surely he/she can have fun doing something else in a safe enclosed area at home..not only vicious dogs are on the lose, also rattle snakes..Socks is lucky and you, to be alive..please do not walk dogs off leash specially while being on horseback, where you have no chance to offer quick protection in case of emergency. Please! Thanks.

One big cross-country hug. I had to let my Samoyed Lady (13 yrs) go on ahead to her next journey on Feb. 1. I also struggled with trying to understand my role in her journey in her last months with me. I also am working through the contradictions of relief and loss. {hug}

When I learned about Kapparot (I was raised reform and never had heard of this) I was disgusted. I can't even imagine how the frum community can think there is anything ethical or holy about this act. I now live in Pico-Robertson and G-d help me if I ever accidentally see that. I'm sure I'll break down and cry. I respect faiths. I respect traditions. However, cruelty is cruelty.

I am so sorry for your loss. Rover sounded like a great friend pet. You brought the best of Rover out. I am sure Rover will always thank you for that. I have never had a pet. So I don't know how it feels to lose a friend pet. Your relationship sounds like it was a qualitative.
