Wally is one of our senior gentlemen who has had a cough for some time. We have had two veterinarians come to examine him who have told us that he most likely has a heart condition and there is nothing we can do for him. We give him Sun Chlorella Algae Super Food each day to boost his immune system, extra calories several times a day to help him maintain weight, and acupuncture each week to help with any inflammation or pain. This week we had a third vet come out to pull blood and do an ultrasound to see if there is anything we have overlooked, or if there is anything more we can do to keep him comfortable. We are waiting for the results but are hopeful that we can keep our big guy around a little longer; we just love him so much!

When you sponsor a Gentle Barn animal, you help us give them the care that they need. Hay and vet care are extremely expensive, but with your help we can rescue animals no one else wants, give them the care they deserve, show people how amazing they are, and open Gentle Barns in other states. Thank you for being a part of our gentle family! We cannot do this work without you!
