Hugging Saints

Our newly rescued calves in California have settled in, become friends with all the animals, and have figured out their job here at The Gentle Barn. They love chewing and licking on all of us, exploring and playing, but when we have visitors they sit down, put their heads in our guests laps and fall asleep. The more love they get from all of us, the more love they give to our guests. It’s amazing to watch and we are so proud of them and happy to have them here. At first, we thought of them as victims we had to fight for. Then, as babies we had to care for. It’s clear now that they are our partners in this work, expanding hearts and minds, and changing the world, one person at a time. If you haven’t already, come see them, your life will never be the same!
